It’s Better Call Saul for me. Maybe I need to rewatch BB again, but I just think that BCS is the more accomplished and maturer piece of work. BB is more traditionally ‘dramatic’ but BCS is richer and more complex in my opinion. How they evolved the stories into the BB timeline - sensational. If it doesn’t get the Emmy awards this time I will flip out! I expect it will as they did exactly the same with BB by finally rewarding it in the final season for best Drama when it was easily the best for previous seasons too. I just think they don’t want to give too much credit to a criminal based show perhaps?

I know what you mean. Better Call Saul started as a show that felt more like a gimmick... a way to return the world of BB and be rewarded with little references and cameos in the constraints of a show that feels a little more grounded. But what they did far surpassed anything we imagined. It evolved into something absolutely spectacular and standalone as its own entity away from BB. The cameos and references we were waiting for no longer felt enjoyable anymore because of what it meant in the grand scheme of Jimmy's fate. It is a tough one... I think it is too early for me to stray from BB yet, but I have no doubts it is right on its heels.

I voted BB over BCS but I have to admit it’s very close, and I’ve yet to watch the final season of BCS

As for El Camino, I really liked it. While not a top tier movie, it was a satisfying revisit to see how Jesse faired after the finale. And I enjoyed seeing Plemons again. If they were to do another spin off give me one with his character and the rest of his “clan”. As the bad guys of course…

Oh wow! That is an interesting idea, I never even thought about them. It would be so hard to humanise those horrible people 😂.

It is so so close isn't it. I think Saul was such a slow burner which torch shone so much brighter in it's finale than Breaking Bad's did. But I can't forget how bingeable an amazing BB was from start to finish.

Camino certainly was a great return to the universe and my second viewing I was ALOT kinder on Todd's look because it just looked like the Plemons I know.... but my god when I look back at photos of him. 😂
