I have recently reverted back to collecting/consuming most of my films via physical media. I do still stream but have become frustrated with many aspects, from titles not being available to buffering problems to not actually ‘owning’ digital copies purchased. Yes, streaming can be convenient but I missed having things like special features to pore through for my favourite films. Just wondered if anyone else goes ‘old school’ or combines both or does everyone stream their content at present?

I am a bit of both. I like streaming as theres so much available that I can stream whenever the mood takes me but If I truly love a film I will buy it physically to get the special features. I’m a sucker for a director’s commentary 😂.
I am certainly a hybrid! This never used to be the case, but now to make things easier on my bank balance I will only ever buy Steelbooks I rate a 9 or higher.... That is still a whopping 290 Steelbooks I own mind you 🤣! But as for streaming platforms, I LOVE THEM. They have opened our world so much to discovering gems that would have been impossible to discover without them. I LOVE the cinema too, but sometimes there is nothing better than just sitting in front of my 4k TV and enjoying a film on streaming or steelbook with no distractions and the option to stop for a second to make a nice cuppa. 😍
